Cycling towards better health: cadel evans announced as medibank ambassador

Cycling great Cadel Evans has announced his new partnership with Medibank as a brand ambassador for Generation Better.

The three year partnership will kick off with Medibank’s sponsorship of the Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race on the 31st of January and continue with Cadel’s support of various Generation Better activities and initiatives.

Cadel is looking forward to sharing his cycling expertise and encouraging Australians to look after their health by partaking in a sport that is accessible, healthy and fun, following his retirement from professional racing after the Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race this Saturday.

“The idea of Generation Better is one that I feel strongly reflects my values on health and fitness and I’m looking forward to working with Medibank to get people moving, either on or off a bike,” said Cadel.

“I’ve had to challenge myself every day as a professional cyclist to achieve my dreams and goals and I’m hoping to share these insights and experience so others can achieve the same.”

Medibank Chief Customer Officer, Laz Cotsios said Cadel is an inspiration and a role model that has been encouraging Australians to live healthier, happier and active lives for more than 20 years.

“We are thrilled to have Cadel on board for Generation Better. We couldn’t think of a more respected and committed athlete who brings our ‘for better health’ purpose to life and encourages Australians to follow suit”, said Mr Cotsios.
