Medibank appoints John Goodall, EGM Technology & Operations

Medibank Private Limited (ASX:MPL) Chief Executive Officer, Craig Drummond, today announced that John Goodall will take up the Executive Committee role of Executive General Manager Technology & Operations from the end of November.
“I am pleased to have appointed an operational and technical executive with John’s experience. He joins us from Sportsbet where he held the role of GM Enterprise Technology. Prior to this John spent 20 years at GE Capital Australia and New Zealand where he held a number of roles including Chief Information Officer,” Mr Drummond said.
Mr Goodall’s focus will be on Medibank’s core platforms, finalising the implementation of Project DelPHI and delivering enhanced service outcomes for Medibank’s customers.

Mr Goodall has over 25 years’ experience working in and leading IT functions across the retail and financial services industries. He has significant experience utilising technology to drive business growth and align business systems and processes to customer needs.
John spent 20 years at GE Capital holding a number of roles including that of Chief Information Officer, where his focus was on creating state-of-the art user experiences, consolidating GE’s technology footprint, and leading the refresh of all technology for the Fleet and Distribution Finance businesses. John joins us most recently from Sportsbet, where, in the role of GM Enterprise Technology, he created a new enterprise-wide infrastructure platform including strategic use of cloud technologies.
