Medibank joins never alone campaign to support family violence victims

Medibank has welcomed the launch of the Luke Batty Foundation’s ‘Never Alone’ campaign by Luke’s mother, Australian of the Year Rosie Batty, on what would have been his 13th birthday.

Medibank COO David Koczkar said the health insurance provider was extremely proud to be one of the inaugural supporting partners of the ‘Never Alone’ campaign, which extended Medibank’s ongoing commitment to the prevention of domestic and family violence.

Launching the foundation’s ‘Never Alone’ campaign today, Ms Batty said it would build “a groundswell of support for victims that will make it impossible for us to ignore any longer”.

“The Luke Batty Foundation will stand with the victims of family violence so they are supported in the community and have a strong, clear voice in the corridors of power. No longer will they go unheard.

“I started the Luke Batty Foundation so my son Luke did not die in vain and I am determined that people understand that family violence is everyone’s business. Please stand with me beside every victim at neveralone.com.au”.

“Medibank stands with the Luke Batty Foundation beside the victims of family violence to ensure they are supported in the community and to call for a society that is safe for all women and children.

“We too hope that through ‘Never Alone’ we can send an important message to victims of sexual assault and family violence that they’re never alone.”
