Medibank partners with Velocity to reward members for taking out health insurance

Medibank and Velocity Frequent flyer have announced a partnership that will reward Velocity members for taking out health insurance.

The partnership will see eligible Velocity members earn up to 130,000 Velocity Points if they take up eligible hospital and extras cover with Medibank.

130,000 points could send a family of four on return flights from Melbourne to the Gold Coast or a single on return flights from Melbourne to Hamilton Island^.

All with plenty left over to discover more of Australia’s best holiday destinations.

Medibank’s Acting Chief Customer Officer Fi Le Brocq said this partnership is a great way to reward Australians for investing in their health.

“Last year with the COVID-19 pandemic, health and wellbeing was top of mind for most people, as was the knowledge that we no longer had the privilege of travel. This partnership allows people to be rewarded for travelling within our beautiful country, with the peace of mind that their health and wellbeing is safeguarded.”

This offer is available to new Medibank customers, who have not held a Medibank or ahm hospital cover in the past 12 months, unless they are a dependent coming off parents cover and are a current member of the Velocity Frequent Flyer program.

Updated 10 December 2021 - Medibank and Velocity Frequent Flyer are extending their partnership to reward Velocity members for purchasing Medibank Pet Insurance. Eligible Velocity members can earn up to 15,000 Velocity Points* when they purchase an eligible Medibank pet insurance policy.# 15,000 Points is enough for a one-way economy reward flight from Melbourne to Brisbane.^ The offer is now available to new Medibank Pet Insurance customers who have not held a Medibank Pet Insurance policy in the past 12 months.

*Offer ends on 28 February 2022. However, members will still be able to earn Velocity Points by taking out an eligible Medibank Pet Insurance policy all year round.
