Medibank has launched a new Extras product, providing a low-cost private health option for young adults, demonstrating our commitment to keep health care affordable.
The new product, Healthy Living Extras, is aimed at younger Australians who have not previously held their own health cover but who want to take steps towards improving their health.
The product starts at $3.45 a week* – $180 a year – and provides coverage for one annual dental check-up and clean, flu vaccination, unlimited emergency ambulance and access to our 24/7 Mental Health Phone Support and Medibank Nurse Phone Service.
Customers will also be able to access Medibank customer perks including gym discounts, travel insurance discounts and Medibank’s Live Better Rewards program, where they can earn up to $400 worth of value each year.
Medibank Chief Customer Officer Milosh Milisavljevic said Medibank is committed to deliver value to customers.
“Our Healthy Living Extras product has been designed to provide our younger customers with access to what they told us was important, such as low-cost preventative health services, particularly as more Australians are dealing with cost-of-living pressures,” said Mr Milisavljevic.
For less than a cup of coffee a week, customers can get our Healthy Living Extras product and be covered for an annual dental check up, flu vaccination, as well as access to gym and travel insurance discounts through our Live Better program, where they can also earn up to $400 worth of rewards each year.
