Update Medibank will tomorrow (Saturday 3 July) reopen it's Townsville, Toowoomba, Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast stores after the Queensland Government announced an easing of COVID-19 restrictions.

Medibank will temporarily close 13 stores across Queensland from 3pm today following the announcement of a three-day lockdown.

The Queensland Government restrictions that come into effect at 6pm today, will impact our stores in South East Queensland and Townsville.

The restrictions mean the stores will remain shut until at least Friday.

Head of Retail Andrew Carlson said we’ll continue to support our customers via phone and digital channels.

“It’s so important that we all do our part to stop the spread of the highly contagious COVID delta variant across Queensland,” he said.

“All team members will work from home during the lockdown period, supporting our customers across phone and digital channels.

“We thank our customers for their patience while we all do our bit to keep the community safe.”

Customers needing support can find a range of resources at medibank.com.au, in their My Medibank app, or access agent support through web messaging or by calling 132 331.
