Follow the instructions below to set up direct debit using the My Medibank app or My Medibank online.
Tap Me on the lower right corner of the screen.
Tap Manage payments.
On the Manage payments screen, tap Set up direct debit.
On the pop-up, tap either New credit card or New bank account.
If you selected the credit card payment method, enter your credit card number, cardholder's name, expiry date and CCV.
If you selected the bank account payment method, enter the bank account name, BSB, and account number.
Tap Next.
On the Set up direct debit screen, select payment frequency and date for direct debit.
Tap Confirm.
You are now set up for direct debit.
Click Payments on either the top or left menu.
On the Payments page, click Direct debit on the left menu.
On the Direct debit setup page, choose the bank account tab to set up direct debit with your bank account, or the credit card tab to set up direct debit with your credit card.
Enter your bank account or credit card details.
Click Next.
Select payment frequency and date for direct debit.
(If you're selecting fortnightly payments, please keep in mind that this isn't half the monthly premium. This is because we calculate monthly premiums from the yearly premium amount, and calculate fortnightly premiums from the daily premium amount.)
Read and acknowledge the direct debit service agreement and tick the checkbox.
Click Confirm.
You are now set up for direct debit.
Changing how you pay your premium is easy on My Medibank, either online or on the app.
