Give Back with a complimentary side of dopamine
Staying true to our promise to return COVID-19 claim savings to our members, we’re pleased to announce the latest round of Give Back for members.
This time, we’re giving back a minimum of $50 to everyone who’s an eligible Medibank member* as of 30 June 2025. Payments will be made in September.
This brings our total COVID financial support package to $1.62 billion since 2020.
Who is eligible?
Medibank members holding an active resident hospital and/or extras policy on 30 June 2025 will be eligible for the cash back. The cash back applies on a per policy basis. The cash back amount is only payable to the premium payer. Excludes members suspended for the full 2024/2025 financial year. Also excludes members who have an Ambulance Only, Overseas Visitors Cover, Overseas Workers Cover, Overseas Student Health Cover and select Corporate policies.
How is cash back paid?
We’ll deposit the cash back amount into the same bank account we pay your claims to, or the account your premiums are paid from, during September 2025. You can check your bank details by logging into My Medibank. My Medibank now comes with the added protection of multi factor authentication, so you can do this securely.
Getting paid via cheque?
If we don’t have your bank account details, we'll need to send a cheque. If you update your claims payment details via My Medibank, we’ll be able to make your Give Back payment directly into your bank account by the end of September.** To get paid directly into your account, you’ll just need to have updated your bank account details by the start of August. By adding this account, you’ll also be paid any claims payments directly into this bank account moving forward.
This latest cash back brings our total COVID financial support package to $1.62 billion.
