Medibank Pet Insurance customers can claim on the spot with GapOnly®~, helping you pay less out of pocket at the vet for eligible claims when visiting the vet for your furry friend. Medibank Pet Insurance policies are GapOnly® ready, as a way of simplifying the claims process.
GapOnly® is offered by participating vets, as a way of simplifying the way you claim. For GapOnly® policies, you will only pay the difference or ‘gap‘ not covered by your pet insurance policy. This means that with GapOnly®, you no longer need to wait for your benefit to be reimbursed, as it can be calculated and applied to your bill at the time of payment.

How to make a GapOnly® claim
Claiming with GapOnly® is simple with Medibank Pet Insurance.~
1. Visit a participating GapOnly® vet.
Inform your vet that you would like to make a GapOnly® claim when booking, upon arrival or before discharge.
2. Your vet submits a GapOnly® claim.
When the vet submits the claim for you, it should be assessed for approval in around 5 minutes.1
3. Only pay the gap on your eligible claim.
If your eligible claim is approved, you only pay the gap not covered by your pet insurance policy to your vet.

1 Assessment times may vary depending on complexity of the claim and completeness of information. A GapOnly® claim can be processed during (AEST, excluding NSW public holidays): Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 8:00 pm, Saturday 8:00am – 5:00 pm.
