What are Medibank health checks?
If you’re a Medibank member with Hospital cover^ you can have a health check over the phone with a Registered Nurse. This could provide you with actionable goals and connect you with relevant health programs or services to help you achieve those goals.
Who is calling and for how long?
A Registered Nurse will call you to offer a complimentary health check on behalf of Medibank. The call will last around 20 minutes.
What is covered in the call?
The call is a comprehensive health assessment and may include checks on general health, family history, blood pressure, diabetes, heart and lung health, and arthritis. You may need a tape measure during the call.
When are we calling?
We are calling 9am - 8pm EST Monday to Friday. If you can't speak when we call but would like a health check, you can call us back on 1800 644 325 at a time that suits you.
Will the health check results change my premium?
In Australia, a health fund can’t charge a person more based on their health or how often they’ve claimed.
