Account management

To access your digital card on iOS and Android simply:

• Open the My Medibank App.
  
• Tap on Digital Card on the home screen.
• Your Medibank digital card will appear on the screen.

To update your My Medibank password, simply fill in this form with the email address you used to register for My Medibank, and we'll email you a link to reset your password. (This link is valid for 7 days.)

Please allow a few minutes for the email to arrive. If you don't appear to have received it, check your junk/spam folders, or search for an email from noreply@medibank.com.au.

To log out of your My Medibank account, follow these steps:

Online:

• Click the Sign out button in the top menu. You will be returned to the login screen.

App:

• Navigate to the Me tab and tap the App settings icon in the top left of your screen.
• Then tap Sign out from the settings menu. You will be returned to the login screen.

We know that managing a loved one’s affairs during a difficult time can be stressful. Our team is here to support you in making the process as smooth as possible.

Notify Us

You can message or call our helpful team to discuss the account in question. You will need to confirm your authority so that changes to the account can be made.

The following people may close an account when the member has passed away:

• An immediate family member
• The member's lawyer/solicitor
• The executor or administrator of the member's estate
• An authorised person listed on the policy

We may ask you to provide several forms of identification to ensure you have the authority to make this request.  Please try to obtain the membership number, address, and date of birth of the deceased to assist with the process.

Further documentation will be required if the request for closure is made more than 3 months after the time of passing.

The requestor will need to provide one of the following:

• Death certificate
• Letter from a doctor or hospital confirming death
• Cause of death certificate
• Letter from a public trustee or lawyer/solicitor
