How to change your bank details
You can update your bank details yourself quickly and easily using the My Medibank app or My Medibank online.

Change your bank details on the app
Open the My Medibank app.
The login screen will display.
If you set up login with fingerprint/touch ID, PIN, password, or face recognition/ID, follow the prompts.
Tap Log in.
You may be asked to read and accept the My Medibank Terms of Use; if so, tap Accept.
The home screen will display. You are now logged in.
Tap on “Me” on the lower right corner of the screen.
This will open up a purple screen with your name and policy details, and the main menu in white.
Tap “Manage payments” in the main menu. It’s the third choice from the top.
This will take you to the “Manage payments” screen.
Select "How we pay you for claims".
This will take you to a screen where you can update your bank details.
If you haven't already verified your identity during your current session, you'll be required to do so before you can change your bank details. If you have already verified, you can proceed with the update.
Verifiying your identity:
A "We've introduced extra security to help keep your account safer" screen will appear. To make sure it's really you trying to access your personal information, we'll send you a verification code to the email address associated with your Medibank account. Tap the red Request code button to proceed.
A popup message will appear saying "Medibank Wants to Use medibank.com.au to Sign in". Tap Continue.
A "Verification code sent" screen will appear. Check your email and open the verification email from Medibank. Write down or copy the 6 digit code. Note: it may take up to a minute to receive the code. Make sure you also check your spam and junk mail folders.
Back in My Medibank enter the 6 digit code into the "Verification code" field and tap the Verify code button.
If verification is unsuccessful, a "Something's not right" message will be displayed asking you to try again. Tap Okay and check that you are entering all 6 digits (and only 6 digits) correctly.
If verification is successful, you will be automatically directed to the next screen where you can continue to change your bank details.
Changing your bank details:
Enter the new account name, BSB and account number, and press the red Save button.
Your bank details are now changed.
Select "Manage direct debit".
Tap the grey Change button next to your bank account details.
There will be a pop-up at the bottom of the screen where you can select a new credit card or new bank account. Tap on the one you want to change.
This will take you to a screen where you can update your bank or credit card details.
Enter the new details and press the red Save button.
Your direct debit details are now changed.
Change your bank details online
Go to www.medibank.com.au.
Click Log in in the top right corner of the webpage.
Click the red Log in button in the pop-up window.
Enter the email and password you used to register for My Medibank.
Click Log in.
The home screen will display. You are now logged in.
On the top menu, click on “Payments”. This will take you to your payments management page.
On the left menu, click on “How we pay you for claims". This will take you to an account details screen. Click the Update button under your account.
If you haven't already verified your identity during your current session, you'll be required to do so before you can change your bank details. If you have already verified, you can proceed with the update.

A popup message will appear. To make sure it's really you trying to access your personal information, we'll send you a verification code to the email address associated with your Medibank account. Click the red Request code button to proceed.
Check your email and open the verification email from Medibank. Write down or copy the 6 digit code. Note: it may take up to a minute to receive the code. Make sure you also check your spam and junk mail folders. If you still haven't received a code, you can send it again by clicking the Resend code link.
Back in My Medibank type or paste the 6 digit code into the "Verification code" field and click the Verify code button.
If the code is invalid, a "Something's not right" message will be displayed asking you to try again later. Check that you are entering all 6 digits (and only 6 digits) correctly.
If the code is valid, you will be successfully verified and automatically directed to the next screen where you can continue to change your bank details.
Changing your bank details:
Enter the new account name, BSB and account number, and click the red Confirm button.
Your bank details are now changed.
On the left menu, click on “Direct debit". This will take you to a screen where you can update your details.
Click the Edit button under your account details. Choose the bank account or credit card tab.
Enter the new details and click the red Confirm button.
Your direct debit details are now changed.
