The Medibank Better Health Foundation brings research to life.
Since 2013, we have provided $9 million of support for projects that benefit our customers and all Australians. We prioritise research in areas of high health need in Australia that address the triple aim of healthcare: better outcomes, better affordability and better experiences.
With a focus on collaboration, we support research and patient advocacy initiatives in partnership with universities and research leaders, industry and advocacy groups. We review our priority areas each year, with our 2022-2023 focus areas being:
- Improving transparency, affordability and sustainability in healthcare
- Alternative models of healthcare delivery
- Primary and preventative care
- Loneliness
- Keeping women active
