What is extras cover?
In Australia, some health services – like dental, optical and physio services – may not be covered by your overseas health insurance. That’s where extras cover comes in handy. Extras cover can help you keep costs down for everyday health needs, like buying new prescription glasses or a dental check-up.
You can add Medibank extras to your existing Medibank OSHC, Medibank Overseas Workers Cover, or ahm OSHC.

At a Members’ Choice Advantage dentist, the national average cost of a dental check-up and clean is $255.50 and if you visit twice a year, you could be spending around $511. With eligible extras, you can get 100% back on up to two check-ups on top of your annual limits at a Members’ Choice Advantage dentist (excluding Healthy Living Extras and Gold Ultra Health members).1

At a Medibank Members’ Choice Advantage provider, the national average cost of a physio session is around $109 for the initial consult and $90 for any subsequent consults.
